The Halo was our first full-zip lightweight down jacket and has improved over the years. The fabrics have got lighter and stronger, the down fill-power has increased from 800 to 900 cu.in. (EU), and production has moved from China to Poland. The end result is a jacket that has few competitors, and those with comparable fill-weight being 30% heavier.
The Halo jacket is designed primarily for use as a mid-layer garment. It can be worn as an outer jacket, but only over relatively light clothes as the sizing is a bit on the snug side. The Halo jacket is probably the most versatile model of our ultralight range, and as such is our best seller.
This style has now been superseded by the New Halo jacket which has an Endurance shell and a fixed hood.

Down is a very resilient insulating material and with basic care, any down jacket should last you a very long time.
There are two simple rules to ensure longevity:
1. Always store your jacket uncompressed in a dry, airy place
2. Try to keep it as clean as possible to minimize washing (this ultimately damages the down).
We highly recommend you hand wash your down garment or, alternatively, use a professional service. You can download washing instructions here.
An optional hood is available for the Halo jacket.
