Torq range
The Torq garments are designed for alpine summer mountaineering and less technical climbing, where greater breathability and lower finished garment weight are prime considerations.
The Torq’s eVent fabric has a medium weight nylon face which is 30% lighter than that used on the Flak jacket, yet retains sufficient durability to survive unfriendly encounters in the mountains. The garments themselves – thanks to their minimalist design – are very light and easy to wear.
All garments also feature the Riri Aquazip, which uses plastic teeth to form a weatherproof seal and is more durable and water-resistant than conventional PU-coated coil zips.
Both jacket and trousers share the same cut as the Flak range to allow full freedom of movement. The sizing suits climbers with fit and conditioned physiques, but is sufficiently generous to allow for layering. In the case of the jacket and pants (but not the smock), the medium and large sizes are available in a choice of lengths: regular (R) and tall (L).
